Another Scrapbookit entry

Well It's been a while but I finally finished something!!  Here is my entry for the Scrapbookit August/September challenge.  Pretty simple, but once again I love these photos and just love the colour combo.

I always wondered what it would be like to have to keep kids busy over the 3 MONTH Summer break in the USA ..........well now I know, it's hard work!!  Hence the lack of Scrapbooking lately :)  Anyway, now Charlotte is back at Preschool,  I have a few hours 3 days a week to get into it, plus do the housework :(  I have finally registered to do a Copic class at the Beach Scrapbook store here in Virginia Beach in a few weeks, can't wait to get started, there are so many cute stamps around that I need!!!  Better run, my free time is up, have to get Charlotte from School :)

All the M's!!

Hi!
Well this month I really wanted to attempt the Scrapbookit Challenge as it was a bit different to anything I had done before.  You had to include 3 products that started with M, have a title that started with M and hand make something on the page.  This is what I came up with :)

I used some pink Mist (glimmer mist, it's hard to see in the photos but it is there), a 'Martha Steward' butterfly punch and some bling words from 'Me & My Big Ideas'.  My handmade item was the swirl flowers and as you can see the title is 'My Minnie Princess'.

I love this photo of Charlotte and I think it's a great shot so I tried not to take too much away from it with lots of papers and embellishments.

Thanks for looking

Snow White

Well I have been pretty slack this last month, it has taken me an entire month to complete one page.  As a family we have had a pretty busy month with visitors, Easter and 2 trips to DC, so I have forgiven myself!!  Anyway, here is my one page......

I actually used the April sketch from the Scrapbookit blog, however I didn't get it done in time to compete in the challenge :(  Hopefully this month I will get more done!!

Daddy's Girl

Since back in December when these pictures were taken I have had this page in my head, I kept putting it off, cause I wanted it to be perfect because I love the photos so much!!  We took the girls to the snow for a few days, a few hours drive from here and Charlotte had her first skiing lesson.  Like most small children who get a chance to ski, Charlotte picked it up really quick :)  Ted was so excited and they had so much fun (I on the other hand got to spend most of the time watching from our condo window that looked out over the ski fields with Victoria, at least I was warm in front of the fire!!), it was a great few days :)  Here is what I came up with and I do just love it, Ted wants to know why the page of him has flowers on it!!! What do boys know??

What Ted does love about it is that everything I used I had already, so it truly was 'scrap' booking, except for the flowers they were new!! Thanks for looking :)

Scrapbookit Card Challenge

I had so much fun doing the sketch Layout for Scrapbookit this month I just had to use the card sketch as well, I needed to make a card...... a work colleague of Ted's and his wife sent Ted home with a bottle of wine for me, such a nice couple!! :).  Anyway, here is my take on it, I've never done a card sketch before, so it was all new for me.

March/April Card Challenge

I love the end result so much I don't want to give it away!!

Scrapbookit Sketch Challenge

Well here is my 1st entry into a sketch challenge at Scrapbookit.  This is the sketch.

I have used some photos of my gorgeous little girl, Charlotte and I carving pumpkins last year for Halloween. It was our first time and we had a ball!!

All of the products used are from s.e.i.  the 'Moonrise collection'.

Welcome

Hi, Welcome to my new blog Seymour Scrap.  Over the last year or so I have watched other scrap booking blogs and been very inspired by what others have done, so with a little push from my fab sister I created my very own blog, I figure there is always someone who wants to see more scrap online :)  My Husband laughs at the name!!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy the stuff I do.
